Robert Musil
Robert Musil (1880-1942) nasceu em Klagenfurt, na Áustria. Destinado à carreira das armas, tornou-se engenheiro e depois fez estudos de psicologia e filosofia. Aos 26 anos, publicou "O Jovem Törless" (Die Verwirrungen des Zöglings Törless), seu primeiro romance, várias vezes reeditado durante sua vida. Resolver dedicar-se por inteiro à literatura e, desde então, publicou coletâneas de contos, duas peças de teatro, ensaios, mas consagrou-se por vinte anos a escrever o romance de quase duas mil páginas "O Homem Sem Qualidades" (Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften). Musil é atualmente considerado, ao lado de Proust, Joyce e Thomas Mann, um dos maiores escritores do século XX.
