    A primeira impressão que tive quando peguei este livro, foi que era o mesmo livro que havia lido alguns dias antes (Learning PHP & MySQL). De fato, os dois livros são muito semelhantes no estilo de escrita: curto, direto, com foco em explicar a sintaxe da linguagem. Porém, apresenta melhorias em relação ao seu “primo”. Logo no início, o leitor tem uma visão geral das principais tecnologias envolvidas no desenvolvimento de aplicações com PHP: HTML, Javascript, MySQL e o servidor Apache além do próprio PHP. Esta intrudução é interessante para localizar o iniciante, definindo claramente o papel de cada ferramenta que compõe o toolkit do programador PHP.
