Um livro que se destaca pelas ilustrações, é claro: uma ampla revista enciclopédica de um dos fenômenos estéticos marcantes da era de ouro norte-americana, com reflexos "por tudo em quanto é canto", inclusive entre nós. Para além do registro das imagens, há breves notas biográficas dos desenhistas que, num ou noutro caso, são interessantes. A introdução é bem escrita e posiciona adequadamente o tema que, cá entre nós, é um documentação pictórica bastante eloquente da imaginação erótica do miolo do século XX.
