Um passo pra trás desnecessário e desempolgante

Depois de dois livros incríveis e de até sabermos boa parte do que havia acontecido com o mundo antes de Ember, o livro 3 vem com uma proposta de se passar muitos anos antes de toda a guerra e peste acontecer, mas falha em entregar personagens carismáticos e uma história envolvente que não engrena. Focada em fanatismo religioso e mistérios sem graças, aqui perdemos um grande tempo que não precisamos, apenas para entender um pouco da origem de Ember, que poderia ter sido facilmente introduzida em 1 capítulo do livro 4.
