Melhores vilões ever

Eu não ia escrever resenha de Abarat, mas depois de ver como ele foi tratado no Skoob, mudei de ideia. Nem será uma resenha, na verdade, são algumas impressões.

Abartat é o primeiro livro de uma série de 4, que conta a história de Candy Quackenbush, uma adolescente que vive na cidade entediante de Galinhópolis. Ela acaba parando no arquipélago de Abarat onde a história acontece.

O livro possui personagens extremamente verossímeis e os melhores vilões de livros de fantasia que já li. A ambientação é impecável e o livro vem com ilustrações assustadoras do autor, o que ajudam o leitor a imaginar o mundo assustador onde Candy foi parar.

O primeiro vilão que aparece é o Stampa e já achei ele terrível. Aí aparece o chefe do Stampa e pensei: ferrou,agora a porra ficou séria. Aí aparece a mãe do chefe do Stampa, que faz os costuradinhos, as criaturas mais bizarras ever.

A narrativa é muito agradável, fácil de ler e prende a leitura em cliffhangers ótimos. A história é divertida, os vilões dão medo e a personagem principal e o grupo dela são todos empáticos e carismáticos, com personalidades distintas e críveis.

Se você curte fantasia / dark fantasy / não se deixe levar pelas críticas negativas e superficiais. O livro é realmente bom. Ele é diferente, de fato, o que provavelmente é o causador da estranheza toda. Mas a leitura realmente vale a pena.
