Descobri que este romance é uma releitura de "A Leste do Sol e a Oeste da Lua" (um conto norueguês), que é provavelmente um dos contos de fadas mais subestimados que existem.

É uma história absolutamente cativante, me fez sentir como uma criança novamente enquanto lia. Eu me perdi em terras de gelo e neve, ursos brancos mágicos e rainhas troll ... Eu amei cada página.
