The internship is downgraded to second priority when Uncle Fred goes missing. Even though Grandma Mazur is sure he was abducted by aliens, Stephanie sets out to look for Fred. He's a perfectly average senior citizen, and he's disappeared without a trace while running errands. He's left his ten-year-old Pontiac station wagon locked up nice and neat in the Grand Union parking lot, the cleaning is carefully arranged on the back seat, and his wife is at home, waiting for him to return with the bread and the milk and the olive loaf bologna. Locked in the top drawer of his desk are photos of a body, dismembered and stuffed into a garbage bag. And locked away in the computer files of a another average citizen are the clues that will lead Stephanie to Fred.

Criminally original and stone brilliant, this Intermediate Bounty Hunting Survival Manual is blockbuster entertainment.

High Five: Excelente passa tempo

Li a versão pocket book em inglês. Peguei emprestado com minha vizinha Pat.

Esse livro é um dos muitos (acho que já são 17) com a personagem Stephanie Plum. Stephanie é uma "bounty hunter": seu chefe paga custódia para os clientes não irem para a cadeia. Lógico que cobra uma percentagem nessa. Quando o cliente comparece no tribunal no dia marcado, ele recebe o valor da custódia de volta, sem problemas. Senão, um de seus "bounty hunters" como Stephanie vão atrás do cliente para literalmente dragá-los ao tribunal.

Prende a gente do início ao fim. Final bem escrito. Personagens bem construídos e alguns muito engraçados como a avó dela.

Os vários livros podem ser lidos de forma independente e sem ordem definida.

Um dos livros iria virar filme (http://www.celebitchy.com/146286/whats_wrong_with_katherine_heigls_stephanie_plum_movie/) onde a Izzie de Grey's Anatomy faria o papel de Stephanie Plum.

Um excelente passa tempo principalmente para as mulheres uma vez que a personagem principal é uma mulher que por sinal paquera alguns homens muito bem descritos :-)

O que aprendi? Algumas coisas americanas e algumas palavras em inglês. Por exemplo: bounty hunter. O que pode não ser muito mas você não está contando com as gargalhadas que dei eventualmente e com o excelente tempo que curti em companhia deste livro.
