O título sempre me causou estranhamento, mas muitas recomendações por pessoas que confio plenamente no sentido literário enfim me levaram a comprá-lo.

Eu amei profundamente esse livro, Por dizer de uma narrativa baseada em correspondência de cartas nunca de fato correspondidas, este livro traz reflexões acertadas e profundas acerca do território da arte. Numa costura entre narrativa em primeira pessoa e por vezes em terceira, Chris Kraus diz da obsessão, de frustrações e, acima de tudo, para mim, acerca de como entender que uma narrativa puramente ficcional está longe de ser possível. Transformar essa vivência toda em um livro é de uma potência e coragem incríveis, conversando plenamente com o autor acerca do amor e dos relacionamentos nos dias mais atuais.

Me senti no diálogo e identificação constante com Chris Kraus durante a leitura deste livro. Com certeza foi muito importante lê-lo, alterou bastante a forma com a qual penso na correspondência amorosa e no papel de uma artista mulher dentro do campo da arte contemporânea. A autora foi duramente criticada com a publicação deste livro, e apenas dez ou mais anos depois, o livro passou a ser legitimado pelo o que é: um relato sincero de uma artista apaixonada e igualmente frustrada, num mundo feito de contradições e durezas.
