Evgueny Zamiatin (Yevgeny Zamyatin)
Ievguêni Zamiátin nasceu na Rússia em 1884. Se formou em engenharia, mas tornou-se escritor de ficção científica como passatempo. Autor de diversos contos, peças de teatro e romances, ele também trabalhou como editor das traduções russas de autores como Jack London e H.G.Wells. Sua obra mais famosa é <i>Nós</i>. Zamiátin foi preso e exilado diversas vezes, mas seu exílio final foi voluntário – ele solicitou a Stálin que lhe deixasse ir viver em Paris, pois estava proibido de publicar seus textos no próprio país. Faleceu em 1937.
