    C. R. Manske weaves a fantastic tale for all ages in the first of her Fredda Buttler series. Fredda Buttler’s parents have gone missing. She now resides with her only known relative, Great-Aunt Annora, a former teacher at the prestigious International Academy boarding school. Confined to the academy, she finds herself the victim of prejudice, harassed by teachers and a gang of bullies, because of her “awkward, clumsy” left-handedness. Burning to discover the whereabouts of her parents and a place without prejudice, she hatches a plan to escape. But before she can, an unexpected ally arrives, seemingly to her rescue, and draws Fredda into a whirlwind journey filled with danger, magic and intrigue. She is joined by her friends and thrust into a strange new world and dimensions she never knew existed. The more Fredda explores the paths she might choose to find her roots and the more secrets she unlocks, the more confusing, challenging and dangerous her search to find the answers she so desperately desires becomes.

    Livro Maravilhoso!

    C. R. Manske

    C. R. MANSKE believes that life without left-handed people wouldn't be right. To find out where the author was born - hold up your mirror and look at the word - ELLIVNIOJ. This city is located in the south of Brazil. She now lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Making of Fredda Buttler and The Left-Handed People Fredda Buttler and The Left-Handed People was inspired by two simple words, left-handed. The author, C. R. Manske, crafted this wonderful fantasy from her own struggles with left-handedness. Amazingly, English is Ms. Manske's second language and she has no background in writing. She has never written fiction before. Yet, this book just seemed to flow from her. With the first draft of her book written, the author needed just a little luck finding the right people with whom to work. Her first challenge was finding an editor who understood where she was coming from and could "translate" her second-language English into the book you read today. Miraculously, she found one in a close friend. C. R. Manske and Claire Raio were a match made in heaven. This is Ms. Raio's first professional venture in editing. The last part of the project was the cover. Because money was such a challenge, the author needed to use her resourcefulness. She shared her book with photographer friend, Celia M. Oliva, who had never created a book jacket before. But she was willing to do her best. Ms. Manske and Ms. Oliva worked collaboratively to shape it. The author drew the cover in charcoal from a picture of herself when she was a child. The hand is that of the author's. The cat on the back cover is the real Blue. Blue Millano Buttler is based on another dear friend's pet, Blue Milano Tantillo. Both are a handful! Ms. Manske's debut novel, Fredda Buttler and The Left-Handed People, is a pure example of what you believe you can conceive.
