Meu projeto de 2021 é reler Jane Austen. Então, Razão e Sensibilidade foi o primeiro. Estou em busca da ironia e das entrelinhas colocadas pela autora no texto e posso dizer que encontrei ambas! Mostra a vida difícil das mulheres - mesmo que abastadas - em busca do amor e do sustento, já que para as classes mais altas a única chance de viver bem é sendo homem, herdeiro ou casar com um "bom" partido. Mesmo assim, a vontade de achar a alma gêmea ou o grande amor persiste. Desde sempre, ser mulher não é fácil, e esse livro mostra bem isso. Razão é a Elinor, e Sensibilidade é a Marianne, duas irmãs de uma família "classe média" (alta) do início do século 19 na Inglaterra. O enredo gira em volta dos amores que as duas sentem por uns rapazes aí e rolam altas tretas até o desenrolar (ou não) das paixões em casamento. Vale a pena ler em pleno 2021? Vale!
