A arte reinventa a vida...

Eu estava numa ressaca literária dos infernos, semanas e semanas sem conseguir terminar de ler um único livro (confira lá na minha estante!). Nada me contentava. Os livros foram passando e nada me chamava atenção. Até que resolvi pegar um romance, nada como um NA para curar ressaca.

Ok. Eversea não é uma história autêntica, mas tem carisma. O que me fez continuar a ler é saber o mistério em torno de Jack, ator famosérrimo e que tinha sido humilhado publicamente pela namorada atriz também famosérrima. Ele resolveu se esconder em Butler Cove até ver a poeira baixar. Isso lembra alguma fofoca de celebridade? (risos)

Pois bem, a mocinha é Keri Ann, uma orfã, que mora sozinha numa casa histórica e tem sua vidinha pacata, sonhando com o dia que o irmão vai voltar e assim ela poderá enfim tomar as rédeas de sua vida. Eu disse: nada novo! Daí a vida dos protagonistas se cruzam numa noite e o livro começa...

A dinâmica dos dois personagens é ótima. A narrativa é tranquila, poucas surpresas e a mocinha não é tão chata. Jack é encantador, mas uma caricatura dos mesmos mocinhos que estamos acostumadas. Gostei das tiradas de A Princesa Prometida (The Princess Bride), e da Jazz uma superamiga!

O que me fez tirar uma estrela foi o final do livro e saber que teria uma sequência. Isso as vezes cansa nós leitores, em ver continuações quando não são necessárias. Por isso, lá se foi a estrelinha.
