Bi panic veio forte!

Essa leitura foi estranhamente deliciosa. Apesar de saber que ambos os personagens eram "viciados" eu não havia lido a sinopse. Acreditava realmente que seria uma série sobre criaturas antigas (súcubos) presas em corpos humanos – o surto da gata, rs.

Lily Calloway é viciada em sexo. Para ela não existe tempo ruim, é sexo a qualquer hora e em todos os lugares, sejam públicos ou não.

Loren Hale é viciado em álcool. Acorda e vai dormir bebendo todos os dias desde seus 11 anos.

O quê Lily e Loren tem em comum? O apreço pela auto destruição. É uma história que ao mesmo tempo é triste, também é bonita.

As tropes literárias é fake dating e friends to lovers – eu amo tanto. A amizade deles é maravilhosa, mas também co-dependente, o que deixa a trama ainda mais dramática.

Eu passei boa parte da leitura com raiva dos parentes da Lily e do Lo, mas no final acabei gostando mais das irmãs Calloway. Ah! Todos os personagens dessa série são ricos e influentes (me senti muito pobre lendo esse livro).

É necessário considerar que é uma série escrita no início de 2013, portanto, existem alguns termos que não cabem mais em pleno 2022.
