Life throws curveball after curveball at Laurie and Tate as secrets are revealed, women are brutally murdered, Tate leads Lauren to special and Laurie tries to find her inner biker babe.

Já faz alguns anos que eu não lia nada dessa querida autora e estou feliz por entre tantos livros ter escolhido esse! Que viagem incrível eu fiz!!🤩

Esta é a história de Lauren Grahame(42 anos), Laurie e Tatum Jackson, Tate(44 anos).Lauren está na estrada tentando encontrar um novo lar após um divórcio devastador, e ela então vai parar em uma pequena cidade chamada Carnal, nas montanhas do Colorado, EUA. Ela consegue uma vaga de garçonete no bar local, Bubba's e aos poucos vai plantando suas raízes fazendo novos amigos e finalmente sendo ela mesma.Ela conhece Tate, que é o dono do bar ,e eles desde o começo jogam pedras um no outro pois a antipatia é imediata. Ao acontecer um crime brutal próximo deles que lembra o modus operandi de outros , as coisas entre eles mudam completamente.

Então acontece um bom drama com ex , de ambos, alguns grandes segredos são revelados, vemos também algum drama com amigos e familiares , sem esquecer dos momentos super sensuais🔥. E um grande suspense pelo serial killser à solta😧.

A história é contada principalmente pela perspectiva de Laurie com alguns fragmentos de outro personagem. O ritmo geral da história é tão bom que você nem percebe quão longo o livro é (com 562 páginas) fato que não notei por tantos acontecimentos.Ele nunca é tedioso ou chato e conseguiu prender a minha atenção até a última página.

Gostei demais por não ser instalove o relacionamento do casal principal, pois ele demorou um pouco para desenvolver sentimentos mais profundos além da forte e intensa atração.

A história teve um satisfatório encerramento com um ótimo epílogo. O título do livro é relevante e intimamente ligado a Laurie. Eu recomendo sua leitura. Dei 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
