Ellen Ullman é uma escritora e programadora de sistemas norte-americana, conhecida por seus artigos sobre tecnologia, gênero e cultura, publicados em revistas como Harper's, Wired, The New York Times e Salon.com. A coletânea <i>Close to the Machine</i> (1997) é baseada em sua rara experiência como mulher programadora no advento da era dos computadores pessoais.
