A very straightfoward book that tries to make a commentary on certain themes but does so in such a simplistic way that the entire thing feels like a cheap satire. There were too many nice topics to be talked about, one on top of the other, and little to no development to them. Two points made the book very entertaining to me: the predictability of the plot (which helped to create a 'lighter' atmosphere in a piece that was supposed to be somewhat 'dark') and the way the narrator is so full of himself that couldn't truly understand the circumstances of the situation he was in, so all of his 'witty' observations just sounded like jokes. The ending was, althought expected, amazing. I like how Soror is just the future version of the Earth and they were trying so hard to escape that planet just to be greeted with even more misery at home. Had the book been more well crafted, the ending would have been actually impactful, rather than it just being a cool idea.
