Samuel Larson III has a picture he drew. Four men grouped in a loose composition. One man with his hands on a weapon, another leaning back against the wall, two others stood to one side of the photo grinning. This was the memory that he carried with him everywhere. The moment he captured on crappy torn paper the group of men who saved his life and that of his sister ten years before. After meeting Viktor Zavodny he realises he has to come out of hiding to find the men who saved him, to see if they remember the scared kid they saved, and to say thank you. When he finds the obituary of one of the marines who saved them he couldn't know how much his life would change. So begins a journey to make things right. MacKenzie "Mac" Jackson is a former marine making a new life for himself in the Catskills. He has murderous nightmares and carries the guilt that he couldn't save his best friend from a bullet meant for Mac. Someone out there is intent on killing what is left of his team, but he is prepared and no one will get past his perimeter without him knowing. He will have his revenge. When Samuel arrives at Mac's place he throws Mac's plans for murderous revenge out of the window. Suddenly Mac has to protect a man that threatens his heart, and this time he can't be sure he will succeed.
