Abaixo da média pra livros do Neal Stephenson.

São dois livros em um só, na verdade, com duas histórias passadas com milênios entre si e com muito pouca (ou nenhuma) conexão entre elas. Ambas as histórias vão se construindo em direção a um clímax que nunca acontece e que no final é bem decepcionante. Como sempre ele constrói um cenário onde as disputas políticas parecem ter proeminência, só que, ao contrário de outros livros dele, ele acaba abandonando essa linha de narrativa e foca em outros conflitos mais momentâneos e imediatos. Na primeira história, a disputa política "some" do nada, e na segunda ela simplesmente é ignorada.

Enfim, a leitura é fluida e divertida, mas os finais (ou a falta deles) das duas histórias deixam a gente decepcionado.
