Um livro intenso e inesquecível.

Esse livro nos leva a refletir muito sobre a vida e a morte, sobre o sofrimento de perder alguém, a como superar essa perda e como voltar a viver e reconstruir a vida. A história de Liz começa contando o final da luta de seu grande amor contra um câncer e como toda sua vida desmorona. Mãe de quatro filhos pequenos, ela tem que absorver toda a rotina do casal sozinha, confortar esses filho e ainda sofre e vivenciar seu luto e a dor que a devasta a cada dia. Nesse caminho que parece não ter um dia sem dor ou desespero, ela conhece Ben, um novo vizinho que parece ser enviado dos céus para abençoar sua vida. Ele aparece e oferece ajuda para minimizar toda sua bagunça, e a amizade entre eles se transforma em algo mais sem que ela nem perceba. Mesmo relutante, seu coração pede por ele para construir essa nova vida e ela precisa vencer os medos e culpas para conseguir seguir em frente. Ben é realmente um ser humano maravilhoso, de um coração imenso, apaixonante e muito cativante.
Uma linda história, que apesar da narrativa sofrida, e de despertar sentimentos muito intensos, não me deixou em momento algum angustiada ou deprimida. A reflexão é inevitável e se pôr no lugar da personagem é um desafio, pois ninguém quer pensar na perda e se imaginar nessa posição.
