In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed.

    SO GOOD 😭❤️

The Hunger Games is a classic, but it doesn’t mean that is not gonna suprisse you when you read it, it’s just so detailed with so much things behind the lines. If there is one word to define the hunger games will be *rebellion* because if you read the book you will know that the Capitol is under control of the districts, but even so Katniss Everdeen could prove that there are things that the Capitol doesn’t have control on, with that Katniss got the nickname of Mockingjay. I think is so interesting to see what the author Suzanne Collins wanted to bring up to society with this book and how violence can be used to control and entertain people. Being honest, this is one of my favourites books, just because of how many things you can attract and reflect, how many symbolisms and motifs you can find, in just one book you can change your entire point of view about society.

    Suzanne Collins
