Assim como Merit está tentando fazer um jantar normal em sua pizzaria favorita com Mallory, todo o inferno se solta. Humanos estão se rebelando contra vampiros e jogaram coquetéis Molotov em um negócio que faz Blood4You. Infelizmente, eles não param por aí.

Eu sei que já disse isso antes ... e vou ter que continuar dizendo ~ Eu amo Ethan e Merit. Eles nunca ficam velhos, chatos ou sem graça para mim. Heck, todo o livro poderia ser apenas sobre eles comer e dormir e eu adoraria isso. Bem, ok ... talvez eu precisaria de um pouco mais do que isso, mas você entendeu. Dito isto, este livro é um pouco mais manso do que alguns dos mais recentes e eu fiquei muito feliz. Eu precisavapara ler sobre Ethan e Merit fazendo coisas normais e cotidianas. Isso não significa que eles tenham que ficar sentados! CN nunca permitiria nada tão fútil!

Ethan e Merit são jogados diretamente no drama dos humanos que querem uma "Chicago Limpa". Merit tem dificuldade em direcionar seus pensamentos para longe do malvado John McKetrick e para as partes responsáveis. Houve alguns bons dramas e alguns ruins, mas eu aproveitei todo o giro que se desenrolou. Eu acho que isso deu a Merit alguma paz.

É sempre bom ler uma série em que todos os outros personagens são tão interessantes quanto os principais. E acho que quase todo mundo está envolvido ... e necessário em alguma capacidade.
