And to do it, Layne has to enlist everyone, including his ex-CIA mentor, Rocky’s detective brother, the town’s unpredictable informant and Layne’s two teenage sons all the while stopping Rocky from doing something crazy and keeping their game secret so Layne won't get himself dead.

Layne escapa de 'Burg apenas para voltar anos depois porque sua ex-mulher se prendeu ao idiota da cidade e Layne precisa garantir que seus filhos sejam criados da maneira certa. Layne consegue evitar Rocky, mas quando Layne recebe três tiros perfurados nele enquanto investigava um policial sujo, ele não pode fazer isso porque Rocky para de evitar Layne. Eles fazem um acordo para trabalharem juntos para expor o policial sujo, mas eles não têm ideia da força de sua atração duradoura ou da maldade em ação no 'Burg.
