My★★★☆☆ review of Smaller and Smaller Circles:

Não dá pra dizer que esse é um livro leve, é o oposto, o assuntos são pesadíssimos. A desigualdade social, a luta pela justiça e a memória dos mortos na ditadura, as falhas da igreja com as vítimas da omissão, a corrupção... Mas dá pra dizer que é um livro fraco.
Ele não é ruim, e apesar dos assuntos difíceis, é fácil de se ler.
Mas é fraco, muita coisa é levantada, mas as que tem propósito não são bem trabalhadas e ainda sobra as que no fim, não tem motivo nenhum para terem surgido...
É um livro corrido, mas não dá pra entender pq ele é corrido. Talvez ele tivesse que ser melhor trabalhado, mais um ano como rascunho talvez... Mas isso também não faz muito sentido porque ele foi escrito duas vezes. Não é ruim, só não é muito bom mesmo. E é interessante porque se eu pudesse resumir eu diria que tem muitas adaptações que falham em entregar uma boa história porque tentam colocar coisa demais do livro em um filme, mas esse é um livro se estraga cortando demais de si tentando ser um filme.
