The minute he sets eyes on Tia O’Connor he feels something inside of him shift, change. And as he gets to know her, he starts to change even further.
But what’s his father’s motivation for picking this girl? What’s his father hiding?

Uma segunda chance de ouro!

E não é que eu dei uma segunda chance pra este livro? e ainda por cima eu acabei gostando muito KKKKK o mundo não gira, capota!

Eu li pela primeira vez, ou no caso, comecei em 09/01/23 e li até dia 11/01/23, eu abandonei nos 21% porque eu não conseguia ignorar algumas ridicularias que me deparei, que agora nesta releitura eu não as encontrei (eu li o box da série pelo KU), o que significa que o autor pode ter modificado e melhorado a escrita, ou o livro no todo.

O início é meio cringe de fato, só que com a construção da história e o desenvolvimento da mesma, ela acaba ficando interessante e fluida, num nível que eu não queria nem dormir para poder continuar lendo o livro. O romance teve um ótimo desenvolvimento que de início era a pura power-play/dominação se torna amor e compreensão por ambas as partes. O suspense foi muito bem feito, me fez questionar todos e eu até comecei a duvidar de alguns personagens próximos, no entanto eu achei o final apressado, mas parece que a história do Tommy e Tia continua no segundo livro, então pode ser por isso.

Porém, algo que me incomodou um pouco, mas que é algo pessoal, é o tamanho dos capítulos, eu não sei explicar, parecia que eu lia e lia e não avançava na porcentagem de leitura. Eu leio vendo a porcentagem para ter uma ideia de quanto falta e a minha velocidade de leitura, mas neste livro parecia que eu não avançava. Mas como eu disse, isso é questão MINHA, completamente pessoal.
