Truckers é o primeiro livro da trilogia Bromeliad e retoma um dos temas preferidos de Terry Pratchett - pequenos homenzinhos vivendo em terra de gigantes.

Se você achou familiar é porque tem motivo. As Viagens de Gulliver, também referidas pelo autor, trazem a história Lilliput - uma vila em que as pessoas não tem mais que 15 cm de altura -, e os Nac Mac Feegle que aparecem na saga Discworld são igualmente parecidos.

Em Truckers, os Nomes são a sociedade da vez - mas ao invés de seres exóticos, os pequeninos são alienígenas tentando sobreviver dentro de um Shopping Center. Poderia ser um filme de sessão da tarde, mas estamos falando de Terry Pratchett, então a história é uma sátira da nossa própria sociedade. Minha parte preferida é quando os humanos são referidos como "bovinos".

Apesar de ser uma história para crianças, o jogo de palavras pode ser complicado para não nativos. Recomendo para aqueles com inglês intermediário.
