After Sam?s release, Virgil ask him to do his night routine and to stop at the dinner, but Virgil is not allowed to go in because he?s black. While Sam is ordering, Tibbs enter the dinner and asks Ralph a glass of milk, Ralph refuses to give him and try to make Virgil leave, but then, while he was trying to push him away, Virgil handcuffs him and arrest him for the murder of Mantoli.
