The summer before Troy Stotts turns seventeen, his mother dies. Troy and his father barely speak, communicating instead by writing notes on a legal pad by the phone. Troy and his friends want to disappear. Instead, they will become what they least expect brothers, lovers, heroes, and ghosts.

Para cada pessoa ela vem de uma forma diferente. Cada um enxerga de acordo com suas vivenvias e convicções.

E assim é a cura invisível de Troy e de todos os que fazem parte de sua vida como Tom e Gabe, seus melhores amigos, para Luz que é a sua paixão, para seu pai e para Rose uma senhora que vive sozinha em suas terras.

A vida dessas pessoas estão entrelaçadas nas alegrias e tristezas, nos amores, na vida e na morte.

Foi difícil me apegar a leitura, mas consegui me conectar a proposta do autor e ver a beleza desta história.

O que posso mais dizer... três garotos subiram a montanha, mas nenhum deles voltou...
