Quando eu esqueço que Cornwell é o melhor...

Fazia já alguns anos desde a última vez em que li um livro do Cornwell. Acho que o último foi O Trono Vazio, 8º livro de Crônicas Saxônicas (atualmente encontra-se no 10o volume no Brasil). O que sempre me encantou em Cornwell fora as narrativas fantásticas de batalhas corpo a corpo. Espadas, crendices, doenças, toda aquela atmosfera da idade média. Sempre protelei para ler Sharpe pois sabia que esta (longa) história não pertencia a este universo. Porém, Sharpe é o cara. O livro é incrível. É maravilhoso acompanhar o crescimento de Sharpe. Apesar do livro se passar num curto período de tempo e evidentemente Sharpe cresce pouco como homem e como soldado, é sim notável o seu amadurecimento. Ele é alguém que você respeita mesmo que você seja contra o imperialismo britânico na Índia. Agora sim, sem mais delongas, poderei terminar os 20 livros da saga.
