Primeiro livro da segunda trilogia do Fitz que se passa no universo do reinos dos antigos mesmo universo de aprendiz de assassino e dos mercadores de navios vivos e nessa trilogia voltamos a acompanhar o Fitz mais uma vez. Nesse primeiro livro acompanhamos o Fitz vivendo uma vida calma depois se ter passado 15 anos da primeira trilogia e agora com seus 35 anos ele está vivendo longe de torre só cervo e de todos que conhece e conta conta apenas com seu fiel companheiro lobo Nighteyes, sua amante Starling e seu filho adotivo Hap e logo surge alguém do passado que vem em busca do nosso assassino favorito para procurar pelo filho da tinha Ketricken o príncipe Dutiful que está desaparecido e essa é premissa básica da história e eu confesso que gostei muito de rever o Fitz e alguns rostos conhecidos e principalmente por ver o Fitz mais velho agora e como ele encara a vida e se por um lado o livro começou calmo por outro terminou de uma forma devastadora com um negócio absurdo que eu não imaginava que a Robin era capaz acho que nunca vou me recuperar 😭😭😭 mas se você já leu outros livros da autora e gostou eu com certeza recomendo esse pois ao mesmo tempo que vai te trazer um sentimento de nostalgia vai também te deixar intrigado com as novas coisas apresentadas enfim outro ótimo livro do reino dos antigos.
