Apesar das belíssimas e encantadoras magníficas ilustrações, a história não me cativou .
O que no início me pareceu ser sobre a história de Odd o menino que era manco, que perdeu o pai em uma viagem em um dracar , que era nórdico , que ajudou um urso a retirar a pata presa de uma árvore, que seguiu uma raposa que seguia um falcão .... No final, era tudo sobre os deuses , o urso era Thor , o falcão de um olho Odim e a raposa astuta Loki. E a história me pareceu alguém contando para o menino sobre a mitologia nórdica .... Os gigantes e etc.. mas a parte em que o gigante , esculpe a mãe dele na madeira e termina o que o pai havia começado , eu achei muito lindo . No mais o pai dele, basicamente sequestrou a sua mãe , e não adianta as palavras belas e doces e que não encostou nela até ela aprender a língua nórdica, foi close errado do mesmo jeito. Eu gostei , mas acho que se a história não deixasse Odd como pano de fundo e mais como uma outra história nada ligado aos nórdicos eu teria gostado mais.
