Claustrophobic, disturbing brilliance.

Reading this felt like being trapped inside someone else’s head, and not a healthy one. Poe doesn’t just tell a story, he drags you straight into obsession, guilt, and paranoia and refuses to let you out. The scariest part isn’t even the crime itself, it’s how desperately the narrator keeps trying to prove he’s sane.
It’s short, intense, and honestly made me uncomfortable in the best (and worst) way. One of those stories that sticks with you long after you finish.
