Hauser's Memory é o título original da obra, corresponde melhor a história.
Nesse livro de ficção científica, um cientista cria uma forma,via código genético, transferir a memória de uma pessoa morta ( Hauser ) para uma viva , no entanto a experiência inédita em ser humano desperta mais que lembranças do doador ao receptor.
Nesse processo , americanos e russos querem a todo custo as lembranças desse doador, que era um matemático e possuía informações valiosas a respeito de possíveis armas de destruição em massa dando ao livro um aspecto policial, investigativo e de espionagem.
O protagonista do livro, Doutor Cory levanta uma questão muito pertinente sobre como um avanço desse calibre seria perigoso se usado pelos governantes e/ou ditadores como modo de inserir pensamentos , comportamentos e obsessões em cidadãos comuns por meio dessa ciência.
Gostei bastante.
