Eu não esperava ler ficção científica hardcore quando peguei esse livro e isso foi erro meu. Star Wars é em sua essência da velha guarda e é natural que as histórias que trazem mais informação sobre a Primeira Trilogia sejam mais apegadas a esse gênero.

Em Catalyst, somos apresentados a conjuntura que levaria a dobradia Krennic-Erso de Rogue One - e se você não assistiu esse filme, vai conseguir acompanhar a leitura, mas com grande dificuldade. As referências são tantas que é possível se perder na trama e francamente, para que alguém pegaria esse livro para ler se não para saber mais sobre os bastidores do início dos trabalhos da Estrela da Morte?

Krennic já é aqui o manipulador que esperamos ver, e Luceno não se furta em mostrar o quão fria e calculista sua escalada foi. Ben Mendelsohn em Andor conseguiu verdadeiramente captar p verniz charmoso do personagem que do contrário seria apenas mais um sociopata a serviço do Império.

A história é bem simples: como Galen Erso descobriu que o Império estava usando sua pesquisa para causar destruição. O resto é consequência.
