Clover e Danny tem uma amizade única e eles se completam. É isso que a faz pensar que eles são o que a ciência chama de Symbiotic : aquilo que descreve dois organismos que não funcionam um sem o outro.

Quando Danny fica doente e os médicos não sabem o porque, Clover começa a fazer listas de sintomas e coisas que o ajudam a melhorar. Clover acredita que só ela pode salvar Danny, já que todas as vezes que estão juntos ele fica melhor.

Clover é esperançosa, sem deixar de acreditar na ciência, e Danny precisa de esperança.

É uma linda história de amizade e esperança, com a leitura fluida já que é narrado por uma menina de 10 anos e é uma boa escolha para quem quer praticar inglês.
