Henrique VI parte 2 é frequentemente considerada a mais forte das três peças sobre Henrique VI. Ela foca no período sombrio da história inglesa que culminou com o desafio dos Yorkistas à monarquia Lancasteriana, culminando na guerra civil e dinástica conhecida como a Guerra das Rosas.
Shakespeare cria um drama intenso e carregado de emoção, remodelando o material histórico para criar um padrão para os eventos, destacando temas como realeza, fraqueza, ambição e ordem social.
O vazio de poder deixado pela fraqueza de Henrique, condenado pelos demais pelo seus “humores eclesiásticos”, cria um vácuo que suga e destrói tudo, exceto os mais fortes. Sua fraqueza liberta os demônios, e no fim, a ambição de York e seus filhos assume o controle de forma arrepiante.

Peça bem Game of Thrones, onde um rei fraco fica a mercê das intrigas daqueles que querem o poder. É tanta tramoia que às vezes perde-se o fio.Henrique é um gatinho tonto sendo manipulado e jogado de um lado pro outro. O sentimento de injustiça nas cenas da morte de Humphrey,duque de Gloucester, foi forte. Apesar da tentativa de romance da rainha Margaret com o Duque de Somerset ( mesmo com a despedida tocante dos dois mais pro final), ainda tive um certo prazer ao ver o personagem ser banido e morto no fim.
