Anne Stuart nasceu em Filadélfia depois da Segunda Guerra Mundial, cresceu em Princeton, Nova Jérsia. A sua infância foi muito dura, mas conseguiu sobreviver e, inclusive, ir crescendo com a ajuda das suas histórias de amor. Lia vorazmente e começou a escrever romances quando estava no quinto ano.
