Robert Marasco
Robert Marasco nasceu no Bronx em 1936 e estudou na Regis High School em Manhattan e na Fordham University. Um estudioso clássico, Marasco lecionou na Regis antes de começar a escrever, com Child's Play, um melodrama sinistro sobre incidentes do mal em uma escola católica para meninos. A peça foi um sucesso surpreendente em 1970, concorrendo a 343 apresentações na Broadway e ganhando uma indicação ao Tony Award de melhor peça do ano, e foi adaptada para um filme de 1972. Marasco também escreveu dois romances: Burnt Offers (1973) e Parlor Games (1979). Burnt Offers foi um best-seller e gerou uma adaptação cinematográfica de 1976 dirigida por Dan Curtis e estrelada por Oliver Reed, Karen Black e Bette Davis. Marasco morreu de câncer de pulmão em 1998.
