First appeared in Comic Cue, 1998 Fittingly, perhaps, Junko Mizuno made her debut as a manga artist in a rock magazine, H. Her style tends toward extremes: She draws cute shôjos (Girls) with beaming smiles who also happen to be carrying skulls or playing with corpses. Her fan base tends to be young people with keen tastes ahead of their time, and maybe it's for this reason her work elicits raised eyebrowns and comments like, "What is it?" from so-called normal adults who glance at her manga... Norimizu Ameya, Mizuno's Collaborator on Momongo, is a contemporary visual artist and leader of the art group Technocrat. His work has been exhibited with that of manga artist Takashi Nemoto, Boredoms vocalist Yamataka Eye, Makoto Aida (See Mutant Hanako), and others.

    The Life of Momongo
