Natalia Levi
Natalia Levi Ginzburg nasceu em Palermo, em 1916. Pertenceu a um grupo intelectual da maior expressão da literatura e crítica italiana, do qual fazia parte Cesare Pavese, Italo Calvino, Elio Vittorini, Giulio Einaudi e Eugenio Montale. Seu primeiro marido, Leone Ginzburg, foi morto numa prisão romana em 1944. Um dos filhos do casal é o renomado historiador Carlo Ginzburg, conhecido pela obra O queijo e os vermes (1976) e autor da introdução feita especialmente para a edição brasileira do livro Piero della Francesca, de Roberto Longhi, publicado pela Cosac Naify, em 2007. Natalia casou-se depois com o crítico literário Gabriele Baldini. Integrou o Partido Comunista, foi ativista política e deputada.
