“The Address” tem como cenário o famoso edifício Dakota, em Nova York, e Fiona Davis tem o dom maravilhoso de transportar o leitor pra dentro da narrativa, fazendo-o esquecer do mundo ao redor.
Uma mistura de ficção e realidade, o livro é uma verdadeira aula, sem se tornar maçante, e para os amantes e admiradores da arquitetura, arte, história e de Nova York em si, é um presente. Fatos são costurados ao longo da estória de forma natural, uma narrativa cativante, dividida em duas épocas, com 100 anos diferença entre si. As duas protagonistas são igualmente interessantes, e são construídas de forma realista e sem a romantização que, ao mesmo tempo, infantiliza, endeusa e objetifica protagonistas femininas.
Com toda certeza, vou devorar outros títulos da autora. Uma leitura deliciosa.
