I won't lie, I started the anime for the alleged ships

So, the ships are headcanons, and I'll forever be upset about it.
But... the anime grew on me and I couldn't wait so... manga here I came

Now for the whole thing, both manga and anime (currently on vol. 29, no spoiler), starts marvelish, ya know, upbeat, happy, colorfull, some ocasional bad thing that is easily overcome, etc. And then DC throws a coup and everything goes really dark, really fast, people dying and overall trauma happening.
