It's silly, it's fun, and it keeps them from dwelling on the sadness that surrounds them.

Until one evening, when the strange and dangerous thing they film isn't fiction--it's a bright light, something massive hurdling toward them from the sky. And when it crashes and the teens go to investigate...everything changes.

Comecei a ler pensando apenas "como assim a Emily Henry tem um livro sobre ALIENÍGENA??"
Terminei chorando.

Não é novidade que found family é uma das minhas tropes favoritas, então é claro que eu ia gostar desse livro, mas enfim, vamos lá: seis adolescentes e um cachorro, na tentativa de gravar um vídeo pro canal do youtube deles, presenciam um negócio sinistro (envolvendo muita luz, um possível disco voador e horas deles parados no mesmo lugar sem lembrança de nada depois) que acaba tendo várias consequências (sem spoilers por aqui) e desenterrando inúmeras memórias dolorosas. A gente vai descobrindo como que esse "grupinho" deles foi montado conforme o livro vai passando e que fique claro que é uma história pesada que eu definitivamente não estava esperando. Tem piada, romance, suspense e até um quase sequestro, tudo vivido pela pele da Franny que é - rufem os tambores - irmã mais nova (me pegou demais não gostei) e que realmente faz o leitor sentir tudo o que ela está sentindo.
Cada um dos personagens tem um peso tão grande e são escritos tão bem que quando chega no final você ama cada um deles como se fosse sua própria família porque no fim é sobre isso que o livro é: família. Não é a toa que todos os livros da Emily falem alguma coisa sobre família porque essa mulher arrasa nisso e ela sabe!
Mas enfim, se eu falar mais eu vou estragar a história. Só quero dizer que o final não é nada como eu esperava e que muda completamente o livro todo, me pegou desprevenida e é claro que eu chorei mas isso não é novidade. Pena que não tem traduzido em português, pois merecia.
