Beginning in the very deepest tunnels of the dungeon, the Wretched Scrattle is a tournament like no other, a race to the top of the Black Mountain itself wherein the victor will claim the ultimate prize of becoming the new Master of the Black Mountain. Seeing no other way to save the only place she’s ever called home, Thisby enters the Wretched Scrattle. If she wins she can return things to the way they were and have the dungeon running again like dünkeldwarven automata—that is, if she can make it out alive.
