Eu não esperava por um final desses. Ou uma história que se construísse de uma maneira tão legal. Ruby, nossa mocinha, se tornou uma pessoa totalmente diferente da personagem medrosa do primeiro livro.
Vi claramente a evolução da personagem, o modo como todos imaginam que outras pessoas estavam manipulando ela, como é difícil de acreditar que uma garota que passou por tanta coisa fosse"capaz" de tomar decisões importantes.
Esse livro não ficou centrado no romance entre a Ruby e o Liam, apesar de o relacionamento ser um dos focos da história. Gostei dessa Ruby que bate de frente quando necessário e que simplesmente fica em silêncio quando sabe que uma briga não vale a pena.
(Chorei horrores quando cheguei ao final do livro e super valeu a pena)
Cole foi um dos personagens que eu mais me apeguei e a amizade e parceria que ele formou com a Ruby ao longo da história, foi um dos meus momentos favoritos.
In The Afterlight se tornou um pouco cansativo (emocionalmente falando) em alguns momentos. Era tanta coisa acontecendo que eu me senti no lugar da Ruby e essa sensação demorou um tempo para desaparecer.
O exato final da história, quando um dos personagens revela como vai ser a vida deles, foi uma das partes mais realistas e deu uma vontade absurda de voltar e ler o primeiro livro.
Recomendo o livro com toda a certeza!
