O livro é bem leve e engraçadinho, nada de passar mal de rir, mas uma boa leitura em fim de tarde.

Depois de uns ataques, a Ruby vai para o psicólogo com aquela resistência, então a Doutora pede para ela escrever uma lista de garotos pelos quais ela já teve alguma coisa (real ou imaginária). É através dessa lista, falando sobre os caras, que a Ruby vai se soltando e explicando a vida dela e como ela arrumou toda a confusão da sinopse.

A Ruby tem um jeito todo dela de explicar as coisas, e no livro tem uma série de comentários dela sobre coisas da história na forma de notas de rodapé. Parece estranho no início, parar a leitura no meio de uma frase para olhar as notas, que às vezes são enormes, mas é nas notinhas que estão as partes mais engraçadas do livro.
