Os Dragões do Éden

Neste livro Sagan discorre sobre a evolução da mente humana ao longo de nossa trajetória no planeta. A leitura foi rápida e muito agradável, mesmo para um leigo como eu. Pude entender diversos conceitos outrora obscuros. O autor levanta diversas especulações, que nos dias atuais (cerca de 30 anos após o lançamento do livro), ainda se mostram plausíveis, tendo muitas delas se realizado. Foi muito elucidativo entender o ponto de vista do autor sobre o significado do direito à vida, a evolução dos sistemas computacionais, a possibilidade de vida extra-terrestre, o mundo onírico e, é claro, o cérebro humano (sistema límbico, complexo-r, neocórtex, etc). Recomendo fortemente a leitura a todos que tenham interesse nos temas abordados. Aliás, digo mais! Penso que livros como esse deveriam ser leitura básica nos cursos de ciências das escolas.
