Michael Grant é o co-autor das séries Animorphs e Everworld, como também criador e autor das séries Gone e The Magnificent 12. Michael cresceu numa família militar, frequentando dez escolas em cinco estados e três escolas na França. Quando adulto, se tornou um escritor em parte porque "era um dos poucos trabalhos que não iria prendê-lo a um lugar específico".
