WONDERFUL é um romance medieval adorável, uma leitura engraçada e ainda muito emocional. Seus personagens são interessantes, e os personagens secundários são bem desenhados e aumentam a diversão. Merrick de Beaucourt, famoso guerreiro conhecido como o Leão Vermelho, e amigo do filho do rei, Eduardo, que retorna da luta na Cruzada para finalmente reivindicar sua recompensa, o Castelo de Camrose e a mulher a quem ele foi noivo 6 anos antes. Lady Clio é uma jovem imprudente e independente que Merrick deixou girando os polegares em uma abadia. Ela acha que é uma reviravolta justa que agora ele a espera. Sua única paixão é preparar sua cerveja, procurando aquela lendária fórmula de "heather ale" que ela ouviu falar. Enquanto isso, Merrick refortifica o castelo e tenta chegar a um acordo com uma mulher que está constantemente sacudindo seu mundo bem ordenado.
