Siegen - completely rebuilt after the last war - was once considered equal to Venice, Paris or Vienna. Today the city displays itself as modern, lively and active in the midst of marvelous countryside. Trade and industry dominate everyday life without detracting from the human side. Everywhere friendly people, not as cool as in the north, not as exuberant as in the south. Perhaps just as one would expect of them in a city which more or less forms the geographic center of Germany.
