Terrível e maravilhoso

Poucos livros que eu já li tem uma carga emocional tão forte quanto esse, o que foi uma surpresa levando-se em conta as histórias anteriores, que eram leves e quase infantis. Ursula tem um jeito diferente de contar fantasia, vai contra muitos dos padrões tão comumente encontrados em livros desse tipo e aqui, em Tehanu, ela só brilha mais e mostra o tanto que contos com dragões e magias podem também ser sobre pessoas e traumas mundanos. Cruéis, do tipo que não se pode curar com um feitiço ou uma batalha.
